Religion
Oh boy, now religion and metal, have never, ever been the best of friends. In fact, if it were a war, it’d be every major war in the history of the world, combined. It is seriously, that bad. Organized religions such as Christianity, and all forms of Christianity (Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, Baptist, Presbyterian, ect) have always believed metal to be evil, unholy, and satanic. However, this isn’t entirely true. If scary movies can be openly made, and rarely ever criticized, then why can’t horror themed music be made? That is the basis behind the music of Black Sabbath. But continuing what I was saying before, bands only want to portray that scary image and feel to draw in attention. However, there is a sub-genre that is what these religions think all metal to be. It is called Black Metal. Since it began, Black metal has been taking the satanic theme to extremes, as far as glorifying it. And there is a band named “Mayhem” who actually slaughters a live goat on stage, and throws the guts into the crowd. Another case of Black Metal’s satanic glorification comes from Norway, where a Black metal band had actually set fire to a church that eventually burned to ashes. However, religions have adapted, and there are now many Christian metal bands. And there are even satanic churches established throughout the world. So this feud will be around for a long while.

above is the news article about the church burning in Norway.
below are a couple pictures of some Black Metal musicians.
